Mustang
Shootout in the Hound Pound!!!!! Brossart knocked down 9 three-pointers in the first half to build a 47-22 halftime lead. Paris answered with eight of their own in the second half, giving them a total of eleven on the night. The Mustangs failed to hit a long-range bomb in the second half. The Hounds actually outscored the Mustangs 36-34 in that second half, but the hay had long been put into the barn. Ethan Eilerman amassed 27 points on the night, while teammates Stephen Verst (4-3s) and David Govan added 12 each, and Carson Schirmer contributed 10. Eight Mustangs put ink in the book. Cameron Lilly (23) and Ricky Wasshington (19) put on a shooting clinic, for Paris, being responsible for eight of those eleven three-pointers. The Mustangs go on hiatus, after playing seven games (5-2) over a thirteen day span, and will allow their seniors to go on retreat and to prepare for exams. Our next engagement will be with the Holmes Bulldogs in the David Evans Memorial Fieldhouse on Monday, December 23rd. The Paris Greyhounds (1-4) will try their luck with Bluegrass United on Tuesday. and then take on top-ranked George Rogers Clark on Friday.
