October 27, 20196 yr The Concordia Cardinals slogged through an unrelenting rain for a decisive victory over conference foe Taylor University Trojans 34-10. This was a game CUAA was expected to win and had to win to keep their playoff hopes alive. At 6-2, the Cardinals probably have to win-out to make the playoffs. The Trojans are now 2-5 on the season. The ground attack was the Dirty Birds bread and butter on Saturday. They out gained the Trojans, 386 rushing yards to 125. Cardinals Running Back, Omar Sinclair, gained 249 yards on the ground, with another 75 yards contributed by running mate Bobby DeSantis. The Cardinals had three rushing TDs, and added a third through the air to WR Clay Coltson who is having a terrific year. Place kicker, Wyatt Mast was perfect on two FG tries and 4 extra points. The Cardinal defense was its usual stingy self giving up only 180 total yards. Taylor is set to take on #3 Marian next week while Concordia has a bye week.
