Very evenly matched game. Both defenses outstanding. Both QB’s struggled. Tiger defense contained Becherer. Panther defense did a nice job on Calbert. Key play of the game, with Bardstown leading 14-7 with about 9 minutes left and having just stopped Becherer on a 4th down run, Panther defense recovered a sack/fumble inside the 10, and punched it in a couple plays later. Total momentum shift. In overtime, they had a nice 1st down gain, and we didn’t. All in all, if these teams played 10 times, I think it’s a five and five. I also think that Bardstown’s chances are a lot better on a dry field, I do think the weather affected them more tonight than it affected Elizabethtown.
