NAIA Action Sept. 21

A new NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll came out this week. This report will reflect the new rankings.

 

#6 Concordia Univ (MI) v. Univ. of St. Francis (IL) in Ann Arbor at 1 pm

CUAA is 2-0 with close victories over D2 Kentucky Wesleyan (17-14) and Olivet Nazarene Univ. (22-14). This will be the Cardinals first home game.

 

St. Francis is 1-2 with a 27-22 come-from-behind win last week over Trinity International University. There two losses came to #1 ranked Morningside (IA) 80-0 and #3 Univ of St. Francis (IN) 56-6.

 

 

#12 Lindsey Wilson @ Warner Univ in Lake Wales, FL at 12 pm

LWC is 3-0 and moved up one place in the NAIA rankings. Warner is 0-2 having lost to Cincinnati Christian Univ. 20-17 and #16 Bethel Univ. 35-20. This looks to be a long afternoon for Warner Univ.

 

 

Georgetown College @ #17 Southeastern Univ. in Lakeland, FL at 7 pm

Georgetown, 0-1, lost to Kentucky Christian on Sept. 7 by a score of 30-27. Southeastern Univ. is 1-0 with a win over Point Univ., 27-6.

Currently in Orlando and will be attending the LWC Blue Raiders game.

If you have opportunity, @Jack of all Trades, give us a report after the game. It should be an easy win for LWC. I am also interested to know if Boone County graduate, Jantje Wingo, gets in the game. He is #19 and listed as a DB. He may play special teams too. I've learned that the lists for "participants" and "did not participate" on the team's web site are not necessarily accurate.
