After a very hot and physical match against Ballard, Highlands faces maybe the toughest week for any team in Kentucky. On Tuesday, they visit St. Henry, which is always a tricky game. They then head to Summit Country Day (OH) on Thursday. Summit is the defending Division II state champ after winning three in a row in DIII. Finally, on Saturday, the traveling road show stops at Trinity. I'm not sure what T has coming back outside of Mason, but I guarantee you that they will be physical. We will get a very good look at where Highlands stands against some very good competition.

I expect a great game on Saturday. Trinity lost a ton of talent. But they still have a lot of seasoned and talented players. If they can find the net they will be extremely dangerous. The Highlands Trinity game is one of the best matchups of the year.

Hopefully our boys don't meet up the same way as they did last year.

It was brutal!

Trinity will only have played one game prior to this Saturdays matchup. Not sure what to expect.

Did they get canceled last night?

This will be the fifth for the Birds. They are still learning how to redefine their style from last year. It will be an interesting game.

The brilliance of the Jefferson County Public Schools cancelled all activities due to heat. It was 75 at game time. The state seems pretty wide open. There doesn’t seem to be an overwhelming favorite team this season.

Apparently Collegiate is it according to Top Drawer and USA Today.

They beat a good Oldham County team 4 to 3. But it wasn’t a dominant performance. They are very good though.

They have both Trinity and St. X in the top 50 also. I’m not sure either team is worthy of that ranking yet. All are good teams with great talent, just not extremely deep as last year.

I know that you can't compare scores, but Ballard tied OC 4 to 4. OC's offense looks legit, but it makes me wonder about Collegiate's defense.

I thought the same thing.

We're going to tailgate Saturday. Make sure you stop by if you can. I'll be the most handsome one there.

We all talk about that. We may be at Drakes or El Tarascos which is across the street. I’ll look for you.
