The Mustangs (30-7), champions of the 1st Region, take on Region 2 winner Hopkinsville (21-13) in Semi-State #1 on the campus of WKU at 4:00pm on Saturday.

 

In McCracken County's brief six year existence, they've never failed to advance to the state tournament. Pitching has been a strong foundation for this year's squad - the Mustangs rank third in the state with a 1.69 team ERA.

 

A challenging late season schedule seems to have paid off for the Tigers of Hoptown. Hopkinsville hit a rough patch through the middle of May, but managed to get the job done when it mattered most to claim a region title.

McCracken was leading this one 8-1 heading to the bottom of the 4th.

McCracken added 2 more runs in the top of the 5th and lead 10-1.
