Alabama signs a 2 for 1 with USF.

Nick Saban will be 71 in 2023. Will he even be coaching, then? Bama could buy out the contract. Texas did that and USF had a hefty pay day and they are getting another $1.9 million more when they play in Austin, in 2020. I my understanding is the buyout for this contract is bigger, yet. Financially, USF is in a no lose situation. I'd rather have the games, though. Only God knows what is going to happen between now and 2023, much less what will happen that day in Tampa.

This I do know. In their 2nd season as a FBS program (2001), USF beat Pitt in Pittsburgh when Pitt was ranked in the top 20. South Florida has somewhat of a reputation with wins at Notre Dame, at Miami, at FSU, at Auburn, at NC State, and at North Carolina. From their Big East days, they have a winning record against West Virgina, including 2 wins when WVU was ranked in the top 5, one in Tampa and one in Morgantown. They have bowl wins over Clemson, South Carolina, and Texas Tech.

While I fully expect the Bulls to get handed their keasters, given the proceeding evidence, this may not be the cake walk everybody expects. Auburn may very well end up pointing at Bama and saying "Told ya." Who knows? That's why they play the games. u.gif
