I definitely screamed out loud: “What the hell is he doing?!??” As they went around the last turn.

Same here.. exclaimed and told Ms. Doomer that's going to be reviewed. Reminded me a bit of Scrappy T in the 2005 Preakness.

I noticed it, but wasn't sure if there was interference. I expected a stewards inquiry. The jockeys filed so fast that no stewards inquiry was necessary. After seeing the replays, the stewards did the only thing they could. As one commentator pointed out, the only reason it took twenty minutes is that the stewards were trying to find a reason not to do it. If Country House had been the only other horse involved they wouldn't have had the DQ. I would liken it to taking away the game winning touchdown pass because a receiver on the other side of the field moved early.

Pretty good analogy. I think the outcome of the race became somewhat irrelevant as the foul was egregious and dangerous..one trainer who was impacted but didn't claim foul because his horse fell out of it likened it to following a drunk driver on the road. Additionally, although Country House did not VISIBLY veer off course, only the rider can feel when a horse tenses muscles in preparation to spook, and in a race such as this, that tensing can cost strides.
