GrantNKY Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 Florida State picked up transfer QB Alex Hornibrook from Wisconsin. Hornibrook is a 2 year starter for Wisconsin. Whether Hornibrook is an upgrade of Jamss Blackman is yet to be determined.

That said, I still hate that Blackman wasn’t given the keys last season, and perhaps he could have developed more. I don’t feel he’s gotten a fair shake.

Ehh I watched a lot of Wisconsin, Hornibrook is average at best and flat out mediocre at times. Blackman has a much higher ceiling in my opinion.

Blackman has a much higher ceiling in my opinion. I don't think Blackman will ever hit it behind that line. That to me is the issue. Blackman needs to be able to develop, and he can't do that running for his life. That said, Willie may ultimately elect to keep Blackman as the starter. At the very least, this should allow for actual competition.
