swamprat Posted March 6, 2019 Posted March 6, 2019 The Big Ten Hockey Tournament opens Friday night. The #1 seed, Ohio State, gets a buy the first round. The remainder of the round features best of 3 series with: 7th seed Michigan State at 2nd seed Notre Dame 6th seed Michigan at 3rd seed Minnesota 5th seed Wisconsin at 4th seed Penn State Ohio State gets the lowest advancing seed in the second round the following weekend.
Getslow Posted March 6, 2019 Posted March 6, 2019 I enjoy seeing Minnesota and Wisconsin in the same league as Michigan and Michigan State -- it just makes sense, but B1G hockey just doesn't hold as much intrigue for me as the old WCHA did. Minnesota games against North Dakota, Minn-Duluth and St. Cloud were always awesome.
