Not very many interesting matchups in the 1st Round.

 

E'Town vs. Louisville Central & Ballard vs. Memphis Kingsbury jump out to me as the most intreging matchups.

The Second round could have some tough matchups:

Waren Central vs E-town

Doss vs Male

Ballard vs Rose Hill or Washington Dc team

Fairdale vs Shelby Co.

Providing these teams win.

I thought the KOB always brought in four out-of-state teams? Are they not getting the quality opponents like in the past, or are they making an effort to gear the tournament more toward in-state programs?

They increased the # of in state teams from 12 to 14 either last year, or the year before. I dont know why though.

KOB is still a great tourney. 5/3 has supplanted all of them though in terms of regular season. AIT will be good even though no one gives it much respect anymore. Highlands, Madison Central, Manual, Boyd, and Ashland all have chances to win their regions, Knott Central with 4 starters back will be very tough as well in the 14th. All of these tourneys will be good.
