The Brossart Lady Stangs traveled to Covington on Saturday night, and reaped havoc on the home team, outscoring them 40-9 in the second and third quarters, en-route to a 62-31 win over the Holmes Lady Bulldogs.

 

Brossart sophomore Marie Kiefer added another impressive outing to her resume, scoring 21 points, grabbing 13 rebounds, and blocking 7shots. Mariah Frommeyer contributed 10 points.

 

With the win the Lady Stangs improve to 17-7 on the season. They will host Scott in a major 37th District seeding battle on Monday night in the SyDome.

 

The Lady Stang JVs improved to 9-4 on the campaign, winning their fourth consecutive game 44-33. Freshmen Madison Parker (11) and Alexis Kaeff(10) had the hot hands, combining for 21 of the Lady Stangs' 44 points.

I'm now further informed that due to Holy Cross playing in the "A" State they are close on games, and the Brossart-Holy Cross game scheduled for tonight in Alexandria will not be played.

Brossart and Holy Cross met in the Berea Tournament over Christmas break, with the Brossart ladies, nosing the tribe 48-47.
