Coach Browning resigned as the head coach for the Mustangs on December 6th after five years as their head coach. He took over as skipper in the program's fifth year of existence, following the consolidation of Muhlenberg North and Muhlenberg South in 2009.

Tough place to win. Muhlenberg County is a traditional basketball county with no sustained success or tradition in football. Because they are new and rural, they dont have a traditional rival or no one within 30 minutes inside their district.
