Forgive Logan County if they are "defensive" about their narrow win over Hopkinsville. The boys from Russellville just keep putting tallies in the win column and used a nasty effort from their defense to survive the Tigers and set up another huge clash against a stout Madisonville squad. Knox Central may have another tough draw this week as they welcome fellow ranked Franklin County, but the big win they needed came last week when they outlasted Wayne County. If you want a game that may be a bit off the radar, but should still be great competition from two teams capable of making playoff pushes, check out the Warren East and Allen County-Scottsville game. The loser will have to take their playoff path to the highway.

Franklin County/Knox Central is a really interesting game. Due to cross bracketing, both schools are in the same region this year. Both are likely favorites to make it to the regional final, although Wayne County might have something to say about that. It will be interesting to see if the game plan is all out or more vanilla this Friday knowing another matchup could be looming.
