The Panthers remained unbeaten against in-state competition with a smooth 3 6-0 win on the road at Green County. A surging Russell County team awaits them in their district opener. The Lakers are 3-1, and starting to climb into the periphery of the 4A rankings. Last season the homestanding Lakers gave Knox Central all they wanted in a 34-27 Knox Central win. Will Knox be able to defend their home turf?

Russell Co. is improved, but the Panthers have a lot of firepower. At home they are hard to beat.
