How will Pikeville do this coming season and in the future? With Lawson gone they have lost a great coach but how will the new staff do? I know it's not fair to compare the two but let's face they will be.

 

I wish them the best of luck though so I am not trying to stir up trouble. Just curious.

Pikeville will be just fine. The new coaching staff consisting of Steve Priode, Chad Salyer, and Don Isner were all excellent players, and will continue the tradition at PHS.

 

It's hard to say whether the change will produce immediate effects, but in time, I believe they will be looked at just as favorably as Lawson was.

So is Gary Justice not coming back as pitching coach? I thought he did a really good job with the pitchers - especially Huffman.

No he is not. Huffman was his baby...

What do you mean by that? The reason I ask is I am a long distance fan and not around the program that much. So I don't know much about the day to day happenings.

I don't mean anything negative. Coach Justice will not be returning for personal reasons (namely his family).

 

I was only expanding on your statement about him working with Huffman. He put a lot of effort into Chase.
