Final.

Tigers got a blocked punt safety (that should have been a TD), followed by a kick return for a TD by junior wideout Tereylin Calbert, a pretty little TD throw from sophomore QB Datrail Wright to Calbert, a scoop-and-score defensive TD by junior linebacker Jeremy Henson, a Marshawn-Lynch like 60 yard TD by freshmen tailback Ladarion Montgomery, a TD run by junior back Chance Smalley, a fade pass from Wright to junior wideout Ja'Rel Montgomery, and a 29 yard field goal from soccer-player turned kicker Tomas Lopez.

The defense was swarming, with 2 sacks from junior defensive end Frank Burton, a forced fumble by junior defensive end Sam Floyd, a forced fumble and double-digit tackles by linebacker Trey Riney, and the two defensive scores.

These young players cut their teeth last year in a tough season, and the growth and the ability to spread-the-wealth was apparent. There were plenty of rough spots, but considering they are playing with their backup QB, are missing their middle linebacker, and Riney playing with a hand cast and junior wingback Elijah Rogers playing with a bum hip, all things considered it was a nice first game out of the gate in front of a great home crowd.

Kind of surprised by the margin here.

Coach Marksbury just doesn't have the speed he has had the last few seasons, and frankly, the down 3 defensive lineman for Bardstown really do a great job keeping blockers off the linebackers and the team swarms to the ball. However, Glasgow is a different kettle of fish.

Bardstown has alot of young talent and played well. Spencer has demonstrated an issue hanging on to the football, 4 lost fumbles versus north hardin in the scrimmage and 5 lost fumbles versus Bardstown. Geesh!
