Showers and thunderstorms are forecast to be ongoing across portions of the risk area this morning. As a result, there is a degree of uncertainty with respect to the heating and destabilization across the outlook. In the areas where the cloud cover has some breaks, local destabilization will likely be sufficient for an afternoon increase in storms close to the front. A few scattered strong to severe storms that could produce locally gusty/damaging winds and possibly some hail in the areas of greatest destabilization.
