Leaving Monday morning, there for just a few days, work conference. I was there 10 years ago, again for work, and did the basic tourist stuff (Alamo, river walk, etc.) but I'm sure I missed out on some things. Anyone have any suggestions on places to hit/things to do there?

I really like the town, and we did the same as you while there. We did eat at the rotating restaurant while there, believe it was a chart house pretty good food.

 

One night while there a cab driver told us about a church festival going on, and we went to it and had a great time. That was the only non-touristy experience we had, but really enjoyed our time. I would suggest asking locals for info on things to do outside the norm.
