What does East Carter need to do to improve in 2018? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

This team will have to have some kind of passing game to have any chance at beating any of the teams that got them last season and the defense will have to be at 75% better. You can't give up 47 plus points a game, as they did in their loses and expect to win.

 

with 15 starters back this team has a very good chance at least putting up better numbers and who knows win at least one more game.

 

I do believe the players will have to believe in themselves especially when things go awry.

I think that's a perfect analysis of what it will take to improve over 2017. Improved the passing game, and fix the 40+ point deficit with the Defense.

I will say, they looked good in scrimmages this past weekend against Fleming Co and Lawrence Co. They were evenly matched and played each other to a stalemate.

Hicks is coming into his Junior season with 1 1/2 years of Varsity experience under center, so the passing game should be more of a threat.

Defensively, they've shown improvements, and they will most definitely be put to the test against the big boys of the area, like JC, Ashland, and Greenup.

A majority of the roster is made up of the Junior class, and they have a group of young but very talented players on their way up. East has been steadily improving over the past couple of seasons, and I believe they have a bright future ahead of them.
