Congrats to Turley & Burpo for the career's they had for Murray! Mercer was just too much for them tonite.

 

Will never forget the game they (and others) had versus Butler last year in the State Tourney. It was an NCAA magical type game that completely captured all non-Butler fans in the arena. Don't want to sell Murray short via that being their only bright light but it was for me via how seldom I get to see them play. I gave them ZERO chance of winning that game and what a magical day it was for Murray!

 

Yeah, they lost the next game versus Mercer. But, one of my most fond memories of the Girls State Tourney was that Murray win over Butler. Shout out Kudo's to Butler given it was my opinion they were unbeatable last year. To Butler's credit, the officiating maybe wasn't the best. However, it did not overshadow the incredible game Murray had that nite!

It hust did not turn out to be the gog fight everyone expected. Does not look good for the rest of the teams.
