It matters in that I don’t practice in Ohio. I know very little about Kentucky employment law. I know almost nothing about Ohio.

OH is very similar to KY and courts generally enforce them. As pointed out above, even if it is not enforceable b/c the geographic scope is too broad, ya gotta get a job first (which can be difficult based on the potential new employer questions) and then afford to pay the lawyer fees to win the challenge (realizing new employer may put her "on the sidelines" until it gets worked out).

 

Tough situation.
