Final from Hebron. Maddie Drummond led the Cougars with 14 points.

Conner led 29 to 27at the half but apparently after Coach Stamm made some adjustments they came out hot in the 3rd qtr and Busted the game open. In the 4th Conner substituted freely and kept the spred at about 17 points. Good game for the Cougars. Would be interested to see what JHA thought of the game lastnight. He was sitting on the other side of the gym from me so he may have seen things differently than I.

That's funny I wasn't going to bite until you called me out. I was NO where near Conner high school last night, thank you very much. Sounds like a good win, adjustment or not. Congrats to the Conner lady cougars but they have a real test tomorrow with their nemesis Ryle.

Dixie played good defense in the first half and really held Burcham in check. Jordan and Hurst got off a couple shots, but Dixie still led early. Strong rebounding by the Cougars helped them overcome and take the lead by two at the half.

 

I was very impressed with Maddie Drummond. She was tough to stop and was a real force down low. It seemed like every Conner miss was followed up with an offensive board.

 

3rd quarter Dixie had way too many turnovers and that led to Conner points. Not enough offensive movement from Dixie and barely any points scored in the 3rd.

 

Dixie was without their starting point guard, but not that it would have mattered, Conner was just too much in the 2nd half.

Sorry as much as I would like to see the game I will be NO where near the Ryle gymnasium tomorrow night just as I was NO where near the Conner gym last night.
