The Boone County Rebels played Dixie Heights Colonels at Owen Hauck stadium this morning.

 

The Rebels run offense was good enough to defeat the Red Colonels. The Colonels didn't help themselves much when the defense repeatedly jumped offsides. But that wasn't the difference in the game. It came down to the fact that the Colonels couldn't stop the run late in the game. Noah Shamblin and Jerry Cortez seemed unstoppable on 3rd and 4th down for the Rebels. #35 for the Colonels had a couple of nice runs, at least one for a TD (as I recall). He did the same thing the previous night in the varsity game. But the Rebel D made the plays when they needed them.

 

This was a good win for the Boone County Junior Varsity squad.
