The Cougars lost to 5A Dixie Heights 28-21. The Thorougbreds beat 2A #1 Christian Academy of Louisville 20-15. Conner is now 2-2 and Newport Central Catholic is 3-2 in 2017.

 

Conner won 27-14 in 2016 and 21-17 in 2015. These teams did not play from 2009-2014.

NewCath beat the Cougars in 2007 and 2008.

 

NewCath dresses 18 seniors on their 58 player roster. Conner has 56 listed on their roster with 18 members in the senior class. This Northern Kentucky battle should end with a Thoroughbreds victory based on NewCath's quality win over CAL.

This should be a good game. Conner is a decent 6A team and NCC is a competitive 2A team. Game being at Conner makes them the favorite I think. Of course we do not know the weather for Friday on a grass field. Both teams beat Scott and Conner played Simon Kenton tough. Conner is coming off a game they probably should have won and NCC is coming off a game they probably should have lost so factor that in also.

Conner is an average to below average 6A team as I've said before. They are coming off of a losses to a bad Dixie team. The SK game doesn't count thanks to Hurricane Harvey. NCC wins this easily.
