Browns Release Osweiler and Kicker Parkey

Yep, as predicted on here when Osweiler was first signed he failed to make it to opening day.

 

The Browns also cut last year's kicker Cody Parkey. They drafted Lou Groza award winner, Zane Gonzalez in the 7th round and now he will be the Browns' kicker. These two seem interchangeable to me. Both have big legs and are similarly accurate. Some other team will get a good kicker when they sign Parkey.

Osweiler signed a 1-yr deal with Denver for $775,000. Browns will save that much off the $16 Mil they have to pay him this year. Woo Hoo!
