Walton Verona falls to 1-1 after losing the "Bearcat Bowl" to 1A #4 Kentucky Country Day, 21-20. Their fate was sealed after a late attempt at a game winning 2 pt conversion failed.

 

Holmes (0-1) dropped its season opener 13-0 to Bishop Brossart. It was the first game played on the Bulldogs new synthetic turf.

 

Walton Verona won this game 17-0 last season.

I'll take Walton after watching Holmes. The Bulldogs are too one dimensional in their run game and their passing is average. Their qb is a nice player, but if you focus on him the run game is nonexistent.

Walton is packed with skilled players! And a solid line on both sides of the ball. With a young group of kids look for Walton to do big things the next few years. With that being said... I'll take Walton for the W.
