Mr. Football Criteria

The thread started be @Jason Frakes started me thinking, always a dangerous thing.

 

As he stated in his article the AP doesn't list any criteria for the award so what do the most knowledgeable football fans in KY think?

I'll try to flesh out the options here.

 

• It should be based on senior year only and on individual stats, overall performance of the team or quality of competition shouldn't matter.
   
  
• It should be based on the players over all body of work through high school taking into account only individuals stats. Team success not a factor or lack of quality competition shouldn't be taken into account.
   
  
• Senior year only, the best player from the best team should win. Team success and playing quality opponents have to be a factor
   
  
• Over-all body of work based on helping his team to success while in HS. Was the player part of a successful program while in high school and did he play against quality opponents.
