I already expected Marshall to contend for the region championship next season, this may make them my preseason pick.

First Congrats to Coach Birdsong and Marshall County. I think it is a great fit.

 

Now to next year. Marshall's two best players are coming back in Reed and Walters, but they lose Harvey. They should contend, they would not be my top pick. PT, Graves, and Mayfield all have more talent and will be better than Marshall on paper. Coach Birdsong will have his work cut out for him to win the Region, but I definitely think they can contend.

I believe coach Birdsong is the best coach in the region and that is why I think they're up there. I agree with you that PT,Graves and Mayfield have more talent than Marshall. My preseason pick will be PT but Marshall is right behind them in my eyes.
