April 26, 20179 yr I've seen this at multiple police stations before. The first one I remember seeing was in Taylor Mill I believe. It has a sign of some kind by a parking space. I forget what it says. It's a great idea.
April 27, 20179 yr Ashland PD has been doing this for a while now. Really great idea, I think they call it a safe exchange zone. In Ashland I don't believe that the police actually come out and observe the transaction, however it is done in front of the police station and is monitored by camera. I picked up a couple of Kayaks in D.C. last year from a craigslist seller and we met up at one of the police departments. Works great for all parties involved in the transaction honestly.
