Clever idea...

Newport Police: Call Us to Help with Craigslist Exchanges | The River City News

On a side note scroll down to the FB comment section of the article.

Out of common courtesy I promise not to troll (don't think that I'm not tempted) on Bellevue HS grad and NKU educated Ms. Fedders, not to mention that either she or some of her FB friends might hunt me down and shoot me...but wow...just wow...

She makes the "Scott boys Exposed" threat perpetrator look like a genius.

I've seen this at multiple police stations before. The first one I remember seeing was in Taylor Mill I believe. It has a sign of some kind by a parking space. I forget what it says. It's a great idea.

Ashland PD has been doing this for a while now. Really great idea, I think they call it a safe exchange zone. In Ashland I don't believe that the police actually come out and observe the transaction, however it is done in front of the police station and is monitored by camera. I picked up a couple of Kayaks in D.C. last year from a craigslist seller and we met up at one of the police departments. Works great for all parties involved in the transaction honestly.
