Cancer night at JPat and a really nice crowd showed up. WKU didn't field it very well and Cards did what they needed to do. Still searching for a mid-week starter. McClure was 12-0 in that role in 13 starts last year and it earned him the SAT spot this year. Shane Hummel got the start on TUE and was competent. Doesn't appear to have the velo to be a weekend starter in the ACC, but maybe his location and "stuff" is good enough. I know McDonnell would prefer a younger P in the role to build for next year, but Hoeing and McAvane were given every chance and couldn't throw strikes. Will be interesting to see who twirls on TUE v. UK in a key Top 25 matchup.
