The Bulldogs unleashed a 20-0 first-half run that the Cardinals were never able to fully recover from. Nelson got it as close as 9 in the third quarter and had several chances to cut the deficit further, but couldn't come up with the big shot when they needed it.

 

Anthony Witherspoon scored 20 for the Bulldogs, and Mickey Pearson added 18.

 

Michael Greenwell led NC with 14, Max Ryan had 11 and Zach Curtsinger added 10.

Bulldogs take on Adair Co. in Monday's SFs at 6pm at Central Hardin. Adair scored a 100-86 win over Caverna. I watched the first half, and there wasn't much defense played (obviously).

Witherspoon continues to play big. I think he has gotten better as the year has gone on. Pearson and him are having great years. Those two are going to be unstoppable next season!! Pearson is by far head and shoulders above the rest of the 5th Region. I think he will add some strength to his body this summer. I hope he gets in the gym. I have heard a lot of good things about him and how respectful he is off the court by several people who know him. I like to hear that. I heard he may not be finished growing.. wow!!! I did hear that at times his dad gets a little loud in the stands if things aren't going his way-- so watch out for that.. but Pearson was unstoppable tonight again!!

Lol....I know his dad very well, he's a good guy but you're right he can be a bit much when Mickey doesn't get some fouls called. Too funny
