Stricklin has done a good job. I think most who know baseball figured the Jackets would be good this season.

Coach Stricklin has done a great job this year, my point was that without a senior pitcher and after losing 7 seniors most people who know baseball thought John Smith would struggle this year but he has put together a nice team and some nice wins. Whitley could be the team of the future, and who knows the future could be NOW.....Whitley may not have the dominate pitcher but they have the best three in McCumbers, Rose and Clifford. And Remember the only reason Williliamsburg split with WC was the 6 un-earned runs WC gave them by throwing it around like a Little league team.

Root, Witt, Shelly and Company have done a great job, congrats on a nice season, infact I look for them to upset Corbin in the district and face South Laurel again, and win.....I am sure that Whitley will face Smith and although played him to 3-1 loss, he is still the dominant pitcher in the district, but he will have used his innings beating the Colonels.

If only the Colonels could have gotten the number one seed and drew away from South and Trey Smith.

I look for the Hounds to throw Hedrick against the Jackets. That would leave Hamlin to start the Championship game.... IF the Hounds can throttle the Orange Storm of Williamsburg and advance.

Heard he had quit as well.
