February 18, 20179 yr #19 Dension (21-4, 15-3 NCAC)led by just two at the half but used a nice 2nd half to pull away from a feisty Wabash (11-14, 7-11 NCAC)team today. The Big Red hit just over 53% of their shots in the 2nd half to get the win. Leading Denison, who set a school record for wins during the regular season(21) was Matt Doyle/Fairfield, Conn. / Fairfield Ludlowe(21 points)off of the bench. He connected on 8-11 shots, including4-6 three's.David Meurer(Newark Catholic)had 19 points and 4 boards and 5 assist. For Wabash it seemed to be a game where they were full of energy in one half and running on low in the other. Leading the way with 18 was Ben Stachowski/Evansville, IN / Memorial. Cj McMann/Lebanon, IN / Western Boone chipped in with 13. Dension got 36 points from the bench, while Wabash got just 12.
February 18, 20179 yr Denison will face Wabash again Tuesday in the first round of the NCAC tournament. Despite the Wittenberg-Wooster game not having started, the field looks to be set.
