Jimmy Johnson asked him in an interview that aired on Super Bowl Sunday, "What do you look for in a football player?" His response, "Love of football, hard work, & unselfish."

 

You must have talent to win, but none of those require talent. I shared that with our team. Outstanding. Nothing new, but still good to hear and reinforce.

That's why he doesn't bat an eye to cut or trade a player with talent but doesn't measure up in one of those three areas. Sees them as a bad influence on a team where he wants every player focused on what it takes from them to win rather than what may be best for them as an individual player.
