Bardstown 73 John Hardin 66

Featured Replies

Back-and-forth first quarter, with the Tigers' Santrel Farmer scoring on a buzzer-beater to end the 1stQ with Bardstown off to a 20-14 advantage. Farmer dished out an assist for a 3 to beat the buzzer at halftime and go up by 11.

Tigers led by as many as 12, but John rallied back behind Mickey Pearson (20pts) and cut it to 2 on two occasions in the fourth.

Bardstown regained control when Farmer (24pts) hit a floater to push it back out to 4, then got a steal and fed Tavris Slaughter for a 3 to make it a 7-point margin with about 90 seconds to go. After Slaughter kept alive a missed FT on Bardstown's end, he tipped it to TreJan Walls, who fed Kel Livers (17pts) for a big layup and bonus FT after John got to within 3 a few seconds later.

Bardstown is 11-0 against 5th Region rivals. Their games with John are always entertaining.

There was some problems with the high temps and high humidity today that caused the floor to have condensation problems.

Great game, good measuring stick for both teams. Taking nothing fom the Tigers but John did play most of the game without their starting PG Guillory with flu symptoms. JH had some critical lapses on rebounds and turnovers towards the end.

Like I said before, I think JH can beat anyone in the region, but on that same token they will lay an egg and lose to anyone in the region
