Interesting to look at statewide 3pt shooter rankings at KHSAA website. They rank the offensive output on FG %, Fts by %, but chose to rank 3pt performance by volume made per game, rather then by %. Just find this a little ironic, as I personally would rather have a guy hitting 3 on 6 shots from long range producing an outstanding 1.50 scoring efficiency, than the guy who hits 4 of 10 shots, also an excellent 1.20 scoring efficiency. The latter has produced only 3 additional points (anemic scoring efficiency of .75 on the additional 4 shots) while absorbing those opportunities for teammate's involvement. That is why IMO the stats leader should be ranked more accurately by % with a min #3's to qualify.

 

Got to like St. Pat's 5'5" PG Baylen Bauer that avgs. 2.7 three's made per game, while knocking down 62 of 134 for a sterling 46.3%. When he gets his feet set he is deadly. With the return of Ben Swolsky the Pats could prove dangerous in the 39th with this inside/outside combo.

 

Bauer does not qualify for statewide ranking as they only list top 20 with a minimum of 3.0 made per game. Of those 20, only Powell of Pulaski @ 48.8%, Potter of Shelby Valley @ 47.7% and Hunter of Male @ 46.4% have hit a better %. Anybody got any other top 3 point shooters in 10th?

Joel Day of Campbell County is 33/61 for 54.1%.

Hamberg of Bishop Brossart not too far behind. He's made 49 of 114 three attempts for 43%
