Another road win for the Cards. Jenkins with a good game off the bench for the Cards.

Was a good ballgame. Garrard kept it close all night, cutting it to three in the fourth but could get no closer. Clark made a couple baskets late to extend the final margin.

The Varsity Cardinals traveled to Garrard County on Monday night and came away with a victory, 64-52.

The Cardinals led after the first quarter, 18-12. Ryan Cooper led the Cardinals in the quarter with 9 points. GRC extended the lead to 9 at halftime, 34-25, behind 4 points by Will Philpot.

The Cardinals took a 10-point lead following a Ryan Cooper trey with 3:52 remaining in the third quarter. However, the Golden Lions roared back with 7 unanswered points to trail by 3 with 1:45 remaining in the stanza. Ryan Cooper hit another bucket and Jehdon Jenkins made 2 free throws to give the Cardinals a 7-point advantage, 45-38, by the end of the quarter.

The battle continued into the fourth quarter; however, Garrard County would get no closer than 4 points with 1:40 remaining at 56-52. The Cardinals scored 8 unanswered points to end the contest. In part, this was due to a couple of press-break layups by Will Philpot with assists to Jordan Graham. In addition, Will Philpot had a steal and assist for a layup to Chase Taylor with 57 seconds remaining. Jordan Graham finished the game with 2 free throws to make the final score, 64-52.

PJ Williams (#3) had 6 points and 2 rebounds.

Ben Jackson (#25) had 2 points.
