Breds had multiple opportunities in the final 30 seconds to tie or take the lead, courtesy of the Pandas missing the front end off consecutive 1N1's, and Alexus Pangallo's triple at the final buzzer is just off the mark has Notre Dame prevails up on the "hill".

 

NewCath's Lexy Breen started the game on fire scoring 10 of the Breds 12 1st quarter points, but was not able to match that mark the remaining 3 quarters. NewCath made a strong run to close the 2nd quarter, as Brianna Bridewell drilled a 15 footer at the horn to give the Breds a 27-23 halftime lead. However, the Pandas got hot in the 3rd outscoring the Breds 16-8, and another Bridewell buzzer-beater closed the Panda lead to 39-35.

 

With under 3:00 in the 2nd quarter, Notre Dame's Kennedy Baugh went down with a shoulder injury and never returned to the game, although she did return to the bench late in the 3rd with her right shoulder wrapped in ice..........Hope everything is OK.

Would not be surprised if NCC has the shortest line-up in the 9th region. Ended the game with 5 perimeter players on the floor with the 1 post player fouled out.

This was your typical (at least like the past few years) NewCath/Notre Dame game.
