Garrison went out in the first quarter with a severely sprained ankle and never returned.

Ol' papa finally ventured out to catch a game.

Score in this one was 37-8 at one time. Kudos to the Breds for not packing it in. Got it to within 10, but never seriously threatened. Garrison out and several starters in foul trouble (three Royals fouled out) helped keep HC in the game. Mason's 6 through 9 guys logged a BUNCH of minutes - quality minutes - in this one. Steward with his first ever double-double.

Not much size for this season's incarnation of the Royals. They will have trouble with teams that have size and with teams who have a big time point-scorer (a la Jake Ohmer); I don't see a lock-down defender yet. Perkins did have five blocks but played less than 10 minutes with the foul trouble. With him out of the game, the Breds were finally able to get things going driving to the basket.

All in all, a 19-point win with Garrison out and the starters playing (possibly) fewer minutes than the reserves is a successful evening.
