According to the Ashland Police Department Facebook page, the line was installed Wednesday morning. The "thin blue line" can be found inside the double yellow lane lines on 17th street . It goes from the crosswalk at the intersection of Greenup Avenue to the alley near the police department. "I am very serious about memorializing not only our officers lost in the past but those across our nation. It is also important to show support for our living officers from our agency and to those who come to our facility to work or train." Chief Todd Kelley said in the post. See More Here
November 17, 20169 yr Author Kudos to the powers that be in Ashland for this unique tribute to law enforcement officers.
November 17, 20169 yr Pretty cool idea. That section of 17th street doesn't get much traffic though, it would be nice if they would extend it south to Lexington Avenue along the west end of Central Park.
