Sumo...I think I'm going to like this format better than the 8 team boys tournament.

Yes, and next year we maybe looking at eight teams each, if possible.

Interesting group of games at this event

I'm not sure if I like the 8 team tournaments for the Murph Classic. I am not sure the teams that travel and then wind up having to play the 1pm game really have all that much fun and fan support. You play in a big gym like the Fieldhouse with 200 fans and it just doesn't generate much excitement.

You are right but I have been to many other gyms for tournaments and there are never fan support for the afternoon games.

Does anybody know when and where Mason Co. girls are scrimmaging in the preseason?

Mason will play Scott Co. at Harrison County on the 19th and play at Southwestern on the 26th. I don't know who they play at SW nor do I know any times.

11/19 - Mason County vs Scott Co @ Harrison Co. 8 pm (JV plays at 7:30)

Other scrimmage:

1st Annual KY Premier-SW Warrior BEST OF KENTUCKY Preseason Shootout (GIRLS)

November 26th 2016, Played at Southwestern High School, 1765 WTLO Road Somerset KY.

10 AM Christian Academy Louisville vs Anderson County

12:00 PM Russell County vs Harlan County

2:00 PM Pulaski County vs Sacred Heart

4:00 PM Mercer County vs Simon Kenton

6:00 PM Southwestern vs Male

Saw seven of the eight games last year. Loved the tournament. Got excited about Lawrence Co.(fans, coaching, and team). Thought Simon Kenton had great potential (did not see their nosedive coming). Saw our hometown Panthers hold their own against stiff competition that help steel them for a post season run last year. Would not have seen all this in the newer 4 team format. Alternating boys/girls games will greatly reduce my interest and attendance.
