gameplayedright Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 Wow want a turn around. Brossart starts the season 0-7 to a Regional appearance, congratulations.
Mustang Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 Mustang senior Cody Chism draws first blood at 14:00 to play in the first half, off of a pass from Tanner Griffin. Sophomore Allen Jump scored the Mustangs second goal with 15:54 remaining in the game on a header off of a Free Kick. Brossart Senior Sam Hildreth was brilliant in goal, making two huge "lay-out" saves, while recording his fifth shutout of the season. Hats off to the Calvary Christian Cougars who had a region best 12-2 record coming into the game, after having defeated the Mustangs early in the season. They will continue to be heard from in the future, as they graduate only two seniors. Brossart will face Campbell County at 7pm Thursday night in the district championship game at Scott High School. TAC Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 So Calvary's 2 of 3 total losses came from the Mustangs? They did have 4 ties (I won't go there) Congrats to Brossart who is now 7-11-1. Sorry that the Cougars had to end their season. Nice run! I think they were stopped by Brossart in their All A run as well.

They represented the 37th district well this year and should be competitive in the coming years. Good luck to their seniors. Brossart is playing very well and are a very scrappy team. I believe they are up to 8 wins now; 8-11-1 after starting 0-7-kudo's to the coaching staff and players for figuring it out and never giving up. I think Campbell County will face a very different team in the 'Stangs this time around versus the team they played earlier this year. Good luck to both tomorrow night !

Cougars actually came in at 12-3-4, with losses to Brossart, Campbell Co, and Grant County. Finish out the campaign at 12-4-4. (Their Riherds sheet had not reflected last night's loss, when I pulled the numbers.)
