This turned out to be a game if you were able to take away two plays t would have been very one side, but as you all know that is not allowed.

East Carter might not have looked like a state contender in this one but they did look like a team, that could be as improved as any team in the area.

On the opening kickoff #24 for East Carter muffed the kick but righted the ship as he sailed to a return to the forty seven that mounted to a 25 yard return.

#21 from East Carter, who I thought was the best offensive player on the field, shook off the tackle of big #74 to pick up a first down, with 10:56 left in the opening quarter.

#21 used a nice block on a sweep to pock up eleven more yards, at the 10:33 mark.

#21 would make another nice run on a sweep to the left, as he used more good blocking to pick up the first to make it first and goal, with 8:59 showing on the clock.

#18 from Lewis County was ready for a sweep as he got to #24 for a short loss, with 7:07 left in the quarter.

With 3:08 left #3 from East Carter broke a tackle then carried the pile on his back as he picked up another first down.

With 2:01 left #3 picked up seven yards to make it first and goal at the nine.

The quarter came to an end with a three yard touchdown run by #3 for East Carter. The point after kick by #7 made it,7-0.

With 11:38 left in the half Lewis County who look to have been in a coma as far as the offense was concerned woke up in a huge way when, #22 went to his right and out ran everyone on his way to a sixty two yard score. #12 tied this one up at seven with his successful kick.

With 4:05 left in the fast moving half #3 broke several tackles as he picked up anther first down for East Carter.

The last big play of the half came when, #22 from Lewis field a punt and gained over twenty yards on the return.

As bad as the Lewis County offense had played the defense was able to turn in a nice all around game and with 8:41 left in the game, this showed true. #13 from Lewis pounced on a fumble by #15 of East Carter that happened on a pitch.

#13 from Lewis connected with #15 for a nice run and catch play that moved the chains with, 8:21 left in this contest.

#13 for Lewis used a QB draw to pick up ten yards, with 7:57 left.

#13 hooked up with #15 to pick up six yards for Lewis County, with 7:33 left.

#9 from East Carter made a nice pen field tackle on #13, holding the QB to a two yard gain, with 6:33 remaining.

After East Carter put an end to the Lewis County Drive there offense went to work. With 2:53 left #84 made a nice catch on a pass thrown by #13, that resulted in a nine yard gain.

The East Carter offense looked completely different in the 2nd half because #21 was out of the contest because of dehydration, from what I was able to learn.

With 1:08 left #3 from East Carter broke two tackles to score on a fine fifteen yard run. #3 would add two points on a two point conversion play, to give East Carter a 15-7 lead.

Say what you want about Lewis County but on this day even after being I.M.O. dominated for most of the game they never quit and this showed in a gigantic way with :4 left in the game.

That is when #13 connected with #22 for a forty eight yard touchdown. The never quit attitude was still there when Lewis tied this one up on another pass play. This time it was #13 to #15.

I meant to ask the great people at Raceland if they had rosters but got into the games and forgot to.
