Drove to see Cameron Planck pitch for Rowan Co. After losing twice to East Carter by scores of 8-2 and 9-1, Rowan is confident enough not to pitch Planck. I am not familiar with this strategy. Do not know if the new pitch count rule brings different strategies into play in this type of situation. Disappointed fan here.

Johnson gets out of first inning on 5 pitches. Rowan scores 1 in bottom of 1st on two hits and two walks. Big bang was a double by #4 hitter after Planck walks.

Wahlburn for East Carter is having trouble finding the strike zone. Walks two in second, but strikes out the batter on a 3-2 wicked hook. End of two, RC 1-0.

Rowan Co. scores 1 run on two hits in 3rd to go up 3-0. Wahlburn struggling to find zone, must be st 80+ pitch count after 3. Struck out the side but a two out, passed ball on strike three opened floodgates.

East Carter gets 1 run on two hits, leaving two on to close the gap to 3-1 after 3 1/2 innings. Wahlburn is replaced on the mound by a righthander. Haven't heard his name.

Rowan gets 2runs on two hits to go up 5-1 after 4. First run scores on cutoff throw on 1st/3rd steal attempt and runner safe at plate. 2nd on passed ball.

Everybody is taking full warmups and infield. Unless 3rd game is short, I would be shocked if last game starts before 8:00.

RC rightfielder has a rifle and kills EC rally by throwing out runner trying to score from second on single to right. Throw nailed runner by 20 feet. Helmet flew in anger.
