Supporting Smallwood at the plate was the senior tandem of Keegan Barmore and Grant Helton who both had 2 hits and 2 RBIs. Sophomore Andrew Daria rounded out the hitting with 2 of his own with 2 RBIs.

Hats off to Coach Maxwell, his staff, players but especially Griffin Smallwood. He was absolutely sensational tonight. We did everything we could to prepare for his speed and breaking ball. He was just that good tonight. Total class from everyone involved with the Dixie baseball program. Really sad, emotional time with our kids after the game. Saying goodbye to 8 seniors is tough. They worked extremely hard for us and we will miss them dearly.

I only stretch the truth on Saturday nights after overindulging. Thomas More is getting themselves a very good pitcher and an even better young man. Griffin was "dialed in" from the get go.

 

And for those who plan to attend tomorrows game, give yourselves a chance to enjoy Villas Concession stands Chicken Breast sandwich. One of the better I've ever had the pleasure of eating at a ballpark.
