Beechwood 5 Boone County 3

Stringer got the start for the the Tigers and went 6 innings, giving up 1 earned run and Huesman got the save with a scoreless 7th.

Stringer also drove in two runs at the plate, one of them being a solo shot, his 3rd, to lead off the home half of the first. Rowe also drove in a run with an RBI triple in the sixth and was immediately followed by a 2 run shot by Brayden Combs.

I didn't get the young mans name that threw for Boone but he pitched a great game for the Rebels. He did a great job of mixing up off speed pitches to keep the Tigers guessing all night. Unfortunately, he ran out of gas in the sixth that led to the Tigers pulling ahead.

Tigers are now 26-6 and scheduled to take on Walton-Verona tomorrow afternoon

I agree. BC pitcher threw really good. He led on the count on probably 80% of the hitters he faced. Threw a lot of 1st pitch curves for strikes. It was very apparent he was running out of gas. Throwing curves 3 out of 4 pitches will do that. Name of that boy?

Kenton is a senior.

TripleD above called him young.... I was hoping we were seeing him for a few more years. Great job Kenton. Hope we don't draw Boone again this year!
