(Baseball) Louisville drops 2 of 3 to Miami (FL)

In Coral Gables, the Cards lost Friday and Saturday 8-4 and 6-3. However, they prevented the sweep winning 4-3 today.

 

Louisville is 16-4, 4-2 in the ACC, and is at Purdue Wednesday evening.

Very sloppy effort by the Cards in Miami. Usually solid defense let them down in both losses. Inability to properly field a bunt was troubling. The U is trying to give you an out -- take it.

 

Too many walks & too much pitching from behind. When Harrington worked ahead, he dominated. Funkhouser continues to have control problems. McKay never seemed comfortable on the bump.

 

Very nice effort to get Game 3 today. This club had not ever faced an 0-2 position in an ACC weekend series. Avoiding the sweep is a 2 game pickup (1-2 v. 0-3) and that is important in the season race.

 

Tiberi with 2 HRs on the weekend. Good to see Burdi come back and close things out after getting touched up on FRI night.

 

Get better every game and be ready to go for the quest for Omaha!!!
