Highlands is looking to go to 5A...

Labs must have a crystal ball. From Jody Demling's blog:

"Mueller noted Highlands would fall into Class AAA under the propsed system, but said the school would petition to play up into Class 5-A."

LABS ahead of the game!

Thank you and be sure to tip the waitresses on the way out.:D

I don't buy Cov Cath jumping all the way to 6A, as some have mentioned.

So, lets look at how this could shake out. The present 5A class has 4 schools.

Add Cov Cath and Highlands to the 5A, it swells to 6.

I think what could possibly happen is Holmes and CCH swap spots and Holmes would drop to 4A and take CCH's spot. Presently, Holmes is the third smallest 5A school.

Travel to Harrison, Bourbon and Pendleton would not be that bad, and you would be guaranteed a playoff spot.
