Notre Dame 43 Beechwood 36.

 

It was a 10-12 point game in the first half. If I recall it was 19-9 NDA at half. Beechwood began to deny and faceguard Hagen in the 2nd qtr, I assume because she was guarding/denying Johnson and it was attempt to wear her down, and then faced both Martin and Hagen in the second half. NDA struggled to score in the third (5 pts) and it was tied after 3. Martin hit a huge contested 3 in the opening seconds of the 4th. NDA did a nice job adjusting to what Beechwood was doing and Nda went up 5 for awhile and then back to 3. Gribben hit 2 of 2 and Hagen hit 4 of 4 throws in the final minute to seal it. Beechwood is much better than I had heard or expected. Very well coached. Nice district win on the road for NDA. I have to guess NDA missed 10-13 point blank layups uncontested. Best of luck to both the rest of the way.
